The Financial capital of India Mumbai will likely receive more rainfall as the weather department IMD has announced ‘yellow alert’ for various parts of the city and has forecasted heavy to very heavy monsoon in the upcoming three days.

IMD has announced the alert from July 12 to July 14. While announcing the alert, IMD said, ‘Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places are very likely in Mumbai.’

Weather Update For Other States

Weather Department IMD has predicted heavy to every heavy monsoon for Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka on July 12-15 and Goa for upcoming five days.

On Thursday, Gujarat is likely to receive very heavy monsoon in isolated areas.

Additionally, IMD predicts light to moderate monsoon with thunderstorms and lightning over following regions of India, which include Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

In the region of Gujarat, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Marathwada, light to moderate monsoon is predicted for upcoming five days.

Earlier on Monday, Mumbai saw 300mm of rain from 1 AM to 7 AM. Thus, resulting in widespread waterlogging in the city. Due to torrential rain, local transport services like train services, bus and flight operations disrupted.

Moreover, the schools and colleges also closed due to torrential rain.
