Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma said that Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal is working for the public interest by eliminating corruption under the policy of zero tolerance and rising above casteism. On the same lines, in the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha), the development works should be discussed and reviewed in detail and whatever works are incomplete, they should be completed. Instructions have also been given to the concerned to correct the works in which irregularities were found during today’s meeting.
Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma was presiding over the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in the auditorium of Panchayat Bhawan, Ambala city on Monday. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shalin, Additional Deputy Commissioner Aparajita and officials of the district administration were present with him.
While presiding over the meeting, Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma reviewed in detail the points discussed under the agenda during the last meeting and instructions were given to rectify them. During today’s meeting, all the points kept in the agenda were discussed in detail and instructions were also given to the concerned.
Along with this, due to the officer of the concerned department not having correct information about the funds released under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Deputy Commissioner was asked to constitute a four-member committee under this subject and the concerned officer not having correct information about the status of accessible toilets. In this matter also, before the next meeting, he asked to get the correct information about these toilets, verify them and present the actual report.
He said that it should be ensured that people get the benefits of the welfare policies and schemes implemented by the Central and State Governments. If there is any problem in implementing the schemes, then the concerned department should do that work in coordination. The objective is that people should get 100 percent benefit of the schemes. He said that no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in this work.Under the points put forward by Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma in Engadget during the meeting, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rural Skills Scheme, National Social Assistance Programme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( Rural), Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban and Rural, Jal Jeevan Mission, Integrated Water Shed Management Programme,Digital India, Land Records Modernization Programme, Shyam Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Prime Minister Crop Insurance Yojana, National Health Mission (NHM), Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Mid Day Meal, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and Digital India, and these were discussed in detail and all the schemes were put into perspective and in a better way. Gave instructions to the officers to carry out the work.
MP Kartikeya Sharma, while reviewing the issue of Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana (National Rural Livelihood Mission), told the concerned department officials to publicize the products made by women in programs organized at the district level and set up stalls so that These products can be sold as much as possible. The relative said that under the National Rural
Livelihood Mission, women in the district are making phulkari, hand weaving of yarn,Khadi area and canteen have been implemented. During the meeting, a review was also done under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and instructions were also given to expedite those works where development work had not started or had already started. Under Integrated Water Management, the concerned officer said that this year 10 works were sanctioned, for which an amount of Rs 34 lakh was sanctioned and all these works will be completed by 15th February.
MP Karthikeya Sharma also expressed his displeasure over senior officials of the concerned department not being present in the meeting during the meeting. He said that the main objective of holding the meeting is that the development works related to public interest can be done with better coordination.
While talking to the media after the meeting and answering the questions asked by them, Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma said that the topics discussed during the last meeting have been reviewed. Instructions have also been given to the concerned to rectify the works which have been delayed. Regarding the issue of cleaning system, he said that instructions have been given to the concerned that the work of cleaning system will be rectified.
