A bus carrying polling personnel caught fire

On Tuesday night, a bus carrying polling personnel recently burst into flames in the Multai assembly constituency of Betul, on May 7 during the third phase of the Lok Sabha election.

The incident took place when the bus was returning from Goula Village. Reportedly, all of the passengers are safe as in the nick of time, they jumped from the burning vehicle.

However, the 4 electronic voting machines also got damaged.

Election In Madhya Pradesh 

Meanwhile in the third phase of the Lok Sabha election, nine seats of the central state had gone to polls. Which include Betul, Guna, Morena, Bhind, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Gwalior, and Bhopal.

The state overall recorded the turnout of 66.05 percent. With Rajgarh, Vidisha and Betul reporting the highest turnout, which stood at 75.39 percent, 74.05 percent and 72.65 percent respectively.

While other places like Bhind, Bhopal and Gwalior reported lower voting turnout which stood at 54.87, 62.29 and 61.68 percent respectively.

Even though the overall voting was conducted peacefully across the state, but reportedly there was clash from the village of Bhind between the supporters of two respective candidates alleging bogus voting.

As a result, around four to five people got injured in the fight.
