After a crucial legislature party meeting, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided that Mohan Yadav, an active member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing the Ujjain Dakshin constituency in Ujjain district, will assume the role of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister. Alongside Yadav’s appointment, Rajendra Shukla, the BJP’s MLA from the Rewa constituency, and former Madhya Pradesh minister Jagdish Deora are set to serve as the deputy chief ministers of the state.

Furthermore, BJP stalwart and former Agricultural Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, is slated to take on the responsibility of the speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. This decision was reached during the BJP’s legislative meeting held on Monday, outlining key positions within the state government’s structure.

BJP’s observers have converged in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, with a decisive meeting scheduled at 4 pm to formally finalize the selection of the chief minister following the party’s resounding victory in the assembly elections. Meanwhile, suspense continues to loom over the selection of the Rajasthan Chief Minister, with a similar BJP meeting slated for the following day.

The BJP recently clinched victory in Madhya Pradesh during the November 17 polls, securing a commanding lead with 163 seats in the 230-member assembly. This substantial win left the Congress trailing far behind, securing 66 seats, consolidating the BJP’s power in the state.
