A political clash erupted as PM Narendra Modi criticized Congress for failing to fulfill promises, prompting Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge to accuse BJP of deceit. Modi questioned Congress’s track record in states like Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, stating that unfulfilled promises are damaging these states’ development and fiscal health.

Kharge fired back, claiming BJP thrives on “lies, deceit, fraud, loot, and publicity” and declaring that the “B” in BJP stands for “betrayal” and the “J” for “jumla” (empty promises). He highlighted issues like unemployment, economic concerns, and alleged BJP failures on promises of “Acche Din” and farmer support.

Congress leaders including Siddaramaiah, Sukhu, and Baghel defended Congress’s achievements in their states, asserting they are fulfilling commitments and tackling corruption. Siddaramaiah accused BJP of leaving Karnataka debt-ridden with corruption, while Sukhu said the Himachal Pradesh government is steadily achieving its promises, and Baghel criticized Modi for “petty politics.”

As both parties traded accusations, Congress leaders claimed their party’s policies have positively impacted states under their control, while Modi alleged Congress’s unkept promises are harming Indian citizens.
