Lashing out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his comments on the grand old party, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said that the BJP is only afraid of the Congress led by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
“I am not surprised to see that out of all opposition parties, Mr Modi and Amit Shah are worried only about Congress. Because they know that only Congress under the leadership of Soniaji and Rahulji have the courage and strength to take on the tyranny of the current regime,” Gehlot told reporters.
Earlier in the day, Amit Shah in a series of tweets had said the party leaders of the Congress are feeling suffocated and getting disconnected with people gradually. Taking a dig at the Gandhi family, he also alleged that “interests of one family” have taken precedence over the party.
Responding to the criticism, Rajasthan CM said: “For last three decades, no one from the Gandhi family has held any position of power”
