A young girl who had been sexually assaulted and found unconscious in a pool of her own blood in the Madhya Pradesh district of Ujjain has prompted police to launch an investigation.
“A case has been registered under Mahakal police station in the district against unknown people in which rape incident has come to light and it has been confirmed in a medical examination,” said Sachin Sharma, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ujjain on Wednesday.
The minor was found in an unconscious state in Murlipura area under Mahakal police station limits in the district, according to police.
The police official stated that a SIT (Special Investigation Team) has been established and that an investigation is in progress. Additionally, the SP urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the police.
