Prince William reportedly does not want his brother, Prince Harry, to attend his coronation, according to a recent report by The Sunday Times. The Prince of Wales expressed a desire for his crowning to “look and feel different” when he ascends the throne following the death of his father, King Charles III.
Close friends of William have revealed that the relationship between the two brothers has become deeply strained, with the pair not having spoken for nearly two years. Since stepping down from royal duties and moving to the United States with his wife Meghan Markle, Harry has repeatedly criticized the royal family, notably in his memoir, “Spare”.
A friend of King Charles expressed concern that private conversations with Harry could end up being shared in a potential second volume of his memoir. Despite these tensions, the friend noted that the King’s ability to forgive remains strong, though other family members are less inclined to reconcile.
One of Harry’s friends criticized him for his public attacks on the royal family, calling his actions “outrageously disloyal.” Meanwhile, a former aide to the Duke of Sussex suggested that Harry has struggled to find purpose since leaving royal life, despite his dedication to his work with the Invictus Games and fatherhood. The aide questioned whether Harry is now contemplating his future and direction.
