Prince Harry $8.5 Million Royal Inheritance, Sparks Tensions With Prince William

Tensions within the British royal family are reportedly escalating as Prince Harry is set to receive a substantial windfall of $8.5 million. The upcoming payout, which stems from a trust fund established by the late Queen Mother, is scheduled to be released to the Duke of Sussex on his 40th birthday next month. Sources indicate that this financial boon has left Prince William and Kate Middleton deeply upset, further straining the already fragile relationship between the brothers.

William and Kate’s Displeasure

Insiders close to the Prince and Princess of Wales reveal that the couple is “disgusted” by the idea of Harry receiving such a significant sum, particularly when they believe he has done little to merit it. “William’s pretty disgusted that once again Harry’s going to be cashing out and taking millions back to his Montecito home without lifting a finger for it,” a source told the New York Post. The windfall, derived from a $90 million trust fund created by Harry’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, was designed to secure the financial future of her descendants. The fund stipulates that Prince Harry would receive his share upon turning 40, while Prince William benefits from the Duchy of Cornwall.

Deepening Rift Between Brothers

The strained relationship between the royal siblings appears to be worsening, with sources suggesting that William and Kate harbor deep resentment over Harry’s anticipated inheritance. “There’s nothing he can do about it, aside from shaking his head, but if it were up to him, Harry would not be getting this payday,” the insider added. William reportedly believes that his brother is undeserving of the financial windfall, especially in light of the negative attention Harry has brought to the family through his memoir, *Spare*. The source further commented, “William doesn’t think his brother is in any position to be getting this handout and he’s letting it be known that he thinks it’s a pretty rotten situation.”

Harry’s Financial Future

In contrast to William, who celebrated his 40th birthday with a grand event at Westminster Abbey, Harry is set to receive a much larger gift—a whopping $8.5 million, far exceeding what William received upon turning 40. This inheritance comes on top of the substantial earnings Harry and Meghan have secured through various business ventures since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020. With the couple’s current net worth estimated at $60 million, according to the Mirror, the upcoming financial boost is expected to further solidify their financial independence. The Sussexes continue to build their wealth through lucrative deals with Netflix and other media projects, as well as their philanthropic efforts and lifestyle businesses.

As Harry’s 40th birthday approaches, the royal family’s internal discord shows no signs of abating. While King Charles is reportedly eager to mend fences and welcome Harry back into the fold, the continued animosity between the brothers, fueled by financial disparities and unresolved grievances, suggests that reconciliation may be a distant prospect.
