U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said Sunday that talks about the second stage of a truce deal between Hamas and Israel will take place this week in an unknown location.
In an interview, Witkoff said his recent talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egypt’s intelligence director were “very productive and constructive.”
The talks centered on organizing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, where each side laid down their positions to guide the progress. “The sequencing of phase two is critical,” Witkoff said, calling for sustained negotiations to complete a successful resolution.
Though information on the meeting venue remains unclear, attempts are being made to seal arrangements and embark on diplomatic processes aimed at realizing long-term stability in the region.
