An Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in the Shivpuri area of Nuwakot district, Nepal, on Wednesday afternoon. The helicopter, piloted by senior captain Arun Malla, had departed from Kathmandu at 1:54 PM local time and was en route to Syaphrubensi. Just three minutes after takeoff, the helicopter lost contact with ground staff at around 1:57 PM near Surya Chaur.
There were five people on board, including four Chinese nationals and the pilot. The Chinese nationals were travelling to Rasuwa. Local media reported that the helicopter had lost contact with authorities shortly after taking off. Rescue operations are being conducted at the crash site, but all five individuals—comprising the four Chinese nationals and the pilot—are feared dead.
