MAESTRAL, a joint venture between EDGE, a global leader in advanced defence technology, and Fincantieri, a top shipbuilding group, has been awarded a €500 million In-Service Support Strategic Partnership Project (ISS) for the UAE Navy fleet. The contract, issued by Tawazun Council, will span five years, ensuring comprehensive naval maintenance and operational efficiency.
Tawazun Council’s Role in the Contract
Tawazun Council, an independent UAE government entity working with the Ministry of Defence and security agencies, selected MAESTRAL as the Industrial Strategic Partner for this major initiative. The agreement underscores the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its naval capabilities through cutting-edge technology and expert support.
