The Netzarim Corridor, a strategic area that splits the northern and southern regions of the Gaza Strip, is considered complete in its withdrawal by the Israeli military. This is part of an agreement in its ceasefire accord with Hamas, likely to restore free movement between the two areas.

Reports indicate that automobiles are now traveling through an inspection point while driving from central and southern Gaza. The passage is said to be left in disarray, which was once an important Israeli military base for over 15 months. Buildings were destroyed, and most of the agricultural land had been bulldozed.

The displaced citizens will face greater challenges returning back to the district as most infrastructures have been destroyed. To some, even temporary shelters shall be inevitable to erect.

Despite the wreck, the withdrawal has brought some hope for increased civilian movement and humanitarian aid deliveries into northern Gaza. Analysts predict that the new open route will boost a more regular flow of supplies and offer some respite to victims of the on-going war.
