Israel Praises Operation Sindoor, Supports India’s Right to Self-Defence

Consul General Kobbi Shoshani calls the operation a powerful message against terrorism. Kobbi Shoshani, Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, praised India’s Operation Sindoor on Wednesday. He said the air strikes by the Indian Armed Forces were a strong act of self-defence. He told ANI, “India has the right to self-defence. I think it’s a very clear message from India to the rest of the world.”

Operation sends strong warning

Shoshani stated that the operation was essential to show terrorists that such acts will not be tolerated. He added, “That was an action of self-defence, and I’m very proud of this operation.”

Speaking on the operation’s name, he appreciated its emotional and symbolic value. “It’s a very sophisticated name, it’s symbolic and inspiring as well. It’s really dramatic, the name is very right to the point,” he said.

No place for terrorism—anywhere

When asked about the possibility of future escalations, the Israeli diplomat said the message had been loud and clear. “India and the rest of the world will not tolerate any terror activities in the world. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the Middle East or in India,” he explained.

He further added, “Terror organisations need to know that action like that are going to get responded by retaliation. We will not tolerate any terror activities against our beloved homelands.”

India strikes back with precision

Earlier on Wednesday, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the media in New Delhi. She said that Operation Sindoor aimed to bring justice to the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

“Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed,” she said. Singh also explained that the military chose the locations carefully to avoid harming civilians or damaging civilian structures.

Objective: Disrupt Kashmir’s peace

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri also briefed the press. He said the Pahalgam attack had a deeper motive.

“The attack in Pahalgam was marked with extreme barbarity, with the victims mostly killed with head shots at close range and in front of their family,” Misri said. He added that terrorists tried to traumatise the families on purpose to send a message.

Misri concluded, “The attack was clearly driven by the objective of undermining normalcy returning to Kashmir.”
