Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard Endorses Trump, Blames Current Leaders for Rising Tensions

Tulsi Gabbard, the former U.S. Representative from Hawaii, has officially endorsed Donald Trump in his bid for the presidency against Kamala Harris. Gabbard made the announcement at a National Guard Association conference in Detroit, where Trump was also speaking. At 43 years old, Gabbard previously ran an unsuccessful campaign for the White House in 2020. She expressed strong confidence in Trump’s leadership and urged Americans to unite to ensure his reelection.

Gabbard, who exited the Democratic Party in 2022, has been vocal about her criticisms of the party. She accused its leadership of “cowardly wokeness” and “anti-white racism” in a critical post on X (formerly Twitter). During her speech in Michigan, she criticized the current administration’s handling of international conflicts, stating that the country is closer to nuclear war than ever before. She emphasized her commitment to supporting Trump, believing that his return to the White House would help address these issues and prevent further escalation of conflicts.

Her endorsement coincided with the third anniversary of a suicide bombing in Afghanistan that killed 13 U.S. service members. Gabbard emphasized the need to reject what she described as an “anti-freedom culture” of political retaliation and abuse of power, calling on Americans from all political affiliations to support Trump in order to “save our country” and preserve freedom and peace.

Gabbard’s endorsement reflects her shift from the Democratic Party to a more conservative stance, aligning herself with Trump’s political platform and rallying support for his 2024 presidential campaign.
