Emergency Vehicles And Blocked Entrances At White House
On Friday, various ambulances and emergency vehicles have been seen outside the White House in Washington, DC with multiple blocked entrances to the presidential complex. According to the US Secret Service, the closures were due to a routine investigation of a suspicious item.
The Secret Service clarified it was just an object producing an odour near the White House perimeter, adjacent to the Treasury Building. Emergency responders, including Secret Service agents and firefighters, are currently investigating the item. The White House has not released an official statement on the matter yet.
At the time of the incident, President Joe Biden was in Delaware, and Vice President Kamala Harris was in Arizona. As the situation still remains under investigation, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
