The airport administration tweeted, “Some services at Delhi Airport were temporarily affected due to the global IT issue. Efforts are being made to minimize inconvenience to passengers in coordination with all stakeholders. Travelers are advised to check with their airline or visit the help desk on-site for updated flight information.”

A major disruption in Microsoft’s cloud services has caused widespread flight cancellations and delays worldwide, including in India. The outage affected several airlines, leading to disruptions in flight operations at Delhi and Mumbai airports.

In the US, Frontier Airlines faced substantial disruptions, with flights grounded for over two hours due to the outage. The airline eventually resumed operations after lifting a nationwide departure pause. Allegiant Air also encountered issues with reservations and bookings, while Sun Country Airlines Holdings Inc reported a “global outage.”

Microsoft confirmed that the outage, which began around 6 pm ET, impacted a segment of customers experiencing issues with various Azure services in the Central US region.
