Megastar Chiranjeevi on April 21 released a video statement in which he gave his support to his brother Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and the BJP-TDP-Jana Sena alliance. The statement created ripples in the state politics and there were some like the ruling YSRCP who spoke out against it. The latest news from Andhra Pradesh is that Chiranjeevi will, in fact, be actively campaigning for Jana Sena between May 4 and May 11 in the Godavari area.
According to a statement by Jana Sena’s canvassing star called ’30 years’ Prithvi, Chiranjeevi is not campaigning for the party just because of his brother but because the Telugu star feels an NDA-led government would be good for Andhra Pradesh at this juncture.
“Not because Pawan Kalyan is his brother or his brother has founded the Jana Sena Party, but Megastar Chiranjeevi wants the state of Andhra Pradesh to be governed by an NDA-led government which has Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP in alliance. From May 5th to 11th, Megastar will be giving speeches at many canvassing meets, and he will be roaring big time. He has postponed all his shootings to take part in the campaign,” stated Prithvi.
However, Chiranjeevi’s son, Telugu star Ram Charan will not be participating in any political campaigns for his uncle Pawan Kalyan. But actor and Pawan Kalyan’s nephew, Varun Tej Konidela, did campaign in Pithapuram in Kakinada district along with the actor-turned-politician.
In the video that was released on April 21, Chiranjeevi spoke in support of the BJP-TDP-Jana Sena alliance and said, “I believe that they will show the results and I request you to vote for them.
I have a strong desire that Andhra Pradesh should be developed and I appeal to you all to help in this respect. I urge the people to elect good leaders by casting their vote and help the state develop faster.”
