2022 was a significant year for the Indian Auto Industry. Rising from the shadows of the pandemic, auto companies saw growth in sales as buyer sentiment returned to a certain extent. But there were still many challenges, like the continuing shortage of semi-conductors, essential for making automobiles, as well as factors like the Russia-Ukraine war that hampered supplies. Despite the obstacles, there were some important cars that came this year and managed to rule the Indian roads. Here’s our list of the top 5 cars that hit the roads during the year.

Mahindra Scorpio-N

Probably the biggest launch of the year was the Mahindra Scorpio-N. The new generation of the popular SUV of the home-grown brand became an instant success, and within no time the brand was able to garner more than 1 lakh bookings for the car. The all-new Tucson got the segment’s most powerful diesel engine, which offered 183 bhp of power and 416 Nm of torque.
