No pay, No work! Hindu Rao doctors to go on indefinite strike

Doctors of North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s Hindu Rao Hospital have declared to go on an indefinite strike if they are not paid their salaries which are due for three months. Even after the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court’s intervention, they haven’t received salaries and this is the fourth month when the doctors are working without pay.

According to the Resident Doctors Association, “It has become a trend in NDMC hospitals time and again that the salaries are not regularised and healthcare workers are suffering deeply in pandemic times. We have continuously demanded the disbursement of salaries, but no action has been taken for the past six months.”

The Resident Doctors Association has also written to the Commissioner of North Delhi Municipal Corporation regarding the non-payment of salaries for three months. The residents have been on a pen-down strike for three hours, from 9 am to 12 pm, every day for a week.
