New Delhi: Surgeon Dr J.A. Jayalal has been elected the new national president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) for the year 2020-2021 at its recently held 95th annual National Conference.
After taking charge as president, Dr Jayalal announced his aim to fight against mixopathy, pointing that the association will continue opposing the move of the government to promote “khichadi medicine” in the country.
Dr Jayalal is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Tirunelveli Medical College.
