Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of concocting a false narrative around the so-called “liquor scam.” He stated that the BJP’s “fantasy story” was disproved by the Supreme Court, which granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, marking what he called a “happy ending” for AAP and a defeat for the BJP.

“The BJP created a fantasy story called the ‘Liquor Scam,’ but the Supreme Court ended that story by granting bail to Arvind Kejriwal. It’s a victory for us and a loss for them. They thought they could keep Kejriwal behind bars until the Delhi elections, but their claims were proven wrong in court. Today, both Arvind Kejriwal and I are out of jail,” Sisodia said.

Delhi Minister Atishi echoed this sentiment, stating that the ordeal had shown AAP to be the only party capable of challenging the BJP. “The BJP government tried its hardest to break AAP, but they failed. It is clear now that AAP is the only party that poses a real threat to the BJP. Truth has prevailed,” she declared.

Another AAP leader and Delhi minister, Gopal Rai, emphasized that the party had been fighting against what he termed “dictatorship” for the last two years. “AAP has been standing strong in this battle for two years. Now, our entire leadership is out of jail, and every AAP worker, MLA, and official is eagerly awaiting guidance from CM Kejriwal,” Rai added.

Following his release from Tihar Jail on Friday evening, Kejriwal led a roadshow from Chandgiram Akhara to his official residence, where he was greeted by cheering AAP supporters and fireworks. His release came after the Supreme Court granted him bail in the Delhi Excise Policy corruption case, which the BJP had alleged was part of a scam. Kejriwal’s lawyers posted surety bonds before a special CBI judge, securing his release.

Kejriwal also met with senior AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Gopal Rai, to discuss upcoming assembly elections in Haryana and organizational matters in Delhi.
