In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a man has been detained after it was claimed that he raped a young girl and sent the footage to her father. The IT and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Acts were utilised to book the defendant.
Gabbar, the accused, filmed the incident with the intention of extorting the victim. He sent the video to the victim’s father though, after she refused to be intimidated.
The culprit, who is married, was arrested after the victim’s father made a report about the incident to the Tajganj police station.
The accused has been detained by police. More information is awaited.
