Delhi Police on Wednesday reported that the blood-stained body discovered in a car in east Delhi’s Ghazipur earlier in the day has been identified as a 27-year-old man from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, named Saurabh Kumar.
“We received a call around 6 in the morning about a man being shot. Our team promptly responded. The victim, along with three office colleagues, was returning from the night shift when he was shot during the journey. A crime team swiftly arrived, examined the crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing,” stated Amrutha Guguloth, Deputy Commissioner of Police, east Delhi. The body showed signs of a head injury, and a car was discovered parked at the location. A Centralised Accidents and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulance was called, and the man was declared dead by ambulance personnel, according to the police. Further inquiry revealed that the deceased, Saurabh Kumar, was a married man employed at the Ghazipur Dairy Farm power plant. He was driving with his colleagues in a car with a Uttar Pradesh registration mark.
“The deceased was driving, and his friend Chander Prakash was in the co-driver seat,” added Amrutha Guguloth, DCP, east Delhi.
