A man in Hyderabad, Telangana, committed suicide as a result of the harassment he received from employees of a financial company regarding the repayment of a debt he had taken out. The man killed himself after making a video documenting his trauma.

The deceased, Mohammad Nizamuddin, was an auto driver who had been out of work for six months and had been unable to make EMI payments for the previous two months. He had been experiencing serious financial difficulties since he had been out of work.

He had made EMI payments for two phones that he had purchased from a loan business. However, there was still Rs 4,000 that was unpaid. The financing firm representatives allegedly visited Nizamuddin’s home and began tormenting him since he was having trouble paying this amount.

Nizamuddin, who could not stand the embarrassment of this, made a video in which he complained about the abuse he was receiving from the financial businesses. He committed suicide and claimed that persecution from the financial firm was the cause of his passing.

Based on a complaint from the deceased’s relatives, Kulsumpura police established a case and started an investigation using the selfie video as proof.

For post-mortem procedures, the deceased’s body was moved to the Osmania mortuary. There are further studies in progress.
