The Maharashtra Anti- Terror Squad arrested a Kolkata- based man for allegedly making threat calls to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, state’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. According to the reports, the accused Palash Bose projected himself as a member of the notorious Dawood Ibrahim gang and made threat calls from international mobile numbers.

The accused, unhappy with the Maharashtra government’s stand on the Sushant Singh Rajput case, allegedly made threat calls from international mobile numbers to various state political leaders. He also dialled Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree’ and Sharad Pawar’s residence ‘Silver Oak’ to issue threats.

He was arrested by encounter specialist Daya Nayak’s team in Kolkata and was later brought to Mumbai. As per the reports, Palash was working in Kolkata as a fitness trainer and had returned to the city two years ago after spending 17 years in Dubai where he was working in a club.
