Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Monday afternoon to address a gathering of national office-bearers, he was met with a loud ovation.

JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, praised the efforts taken by the Narendra Modi-led administration to guarantee that India will hold the G20 presidency for a full year.

Speaking to his party’s members, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the importance of India holding the G20 presidency for his nation. He also gave the party staff instructions to concentrate on making this event magnificent.

The sources added that the party is likely to consider planning several events and programmes with a focus on public engagement to exhibit India’s prowess both culturally and historically, per the Prime Minister’s directions.

On Sunday, the first G20 Sherpa gathering under Indian stewardship got underway in Udaipur, Rajasthan. This was the first of 200 meetings of this kind that will occur over the next year in 55 cities throughout India.

The government has called a meeting of the leaders of all political parties on Monday evening at Rashtrapati Bhavan to inform them of India’s G20 presidency.

Prominent political figures and party presidents, including Mallikarjun Kharge of the Congress, Mamata Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress, MK Stalin of the DMK, and Naveen Patnaik of the Biju Janata Dal, will attend the meeting.

On December 1, India formally took over the G20 chairmanship from Indonesia.

An intergovernmental meeting of the world’s leading developed and emerging economies is known as the G20 or Group of 20.

At the Bali summit last month, Indonesia transferred the G20 presidency to India in the presence of Prime Minister Modi.
