In the soaring relationship between the two factions of Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Minister Deepak Kesarkar slammed Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday for speaking against the CM of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, and challenging him to contest elections from Mumbai’s Worli. The minister called Aaditya immature.

Deepak Kesarkar responded to Thackeray’s ambition by saying that he is too young and inexperienced to challenge CM Shinde.

“We would have asked him to fight from Thane, but we can’t do this because insulting others is not our habit,” he added.

Kesarkar went on to say that Aaditya needs to amalgamate with the people and work for them, and it is better for him to ‘talk less.”

Aaditya Thackeray, after the conclusion of a party meeting at Anushakti Nagar on Friday, openly challenged the CM to contest against him, and he is ready to resign from ‘Worli’ seat.

“My challenge to this unconstitutional CM is to fight elections against me from my Worli seat,” he added. I am ready to resign from my constituency, and he should leave his seat as well. If he thinks that he is popular among the masses, then he must come forward and accept my challenge.

Mangesh Kudalkar, a Balasahebachi Shiv Sena MLA, criticised Aaditya Thackeray’s remarks and urged him to work for the people.

He said, “I like to advise Aaditya that challenging someone is not acceptable. Meanwhile, the Shinde government has been working progressively.

“I am ready to resign from my Kurla seat, he should also quit and contest against me and prove his mettle by winning against me,” he said.
