Four labourers lost their lives due to suffocation while performing cleaning tasks inside a sewage treatment plant in Virar, Maharashtra. The individuals who passed away were identified as Shubham Parakar (28), Amol Ghatale (27), Nikhil Ghatale (24), and Sagar Tendulkar (29).

As per Arnala Police Station officials, the four laborers entered the sewage treatment plant, which was approximately 25-30 feet deep, for cleaning tasks. Tragically, they lost their lives due to suffocation while carrying out the cleaning duties.

Upon receiving news of the incident, local residents promptly notified the police and fire brigade. Rapid response teams quickly arrived at the scene to rescue the laborers. Unfortunately, by the time they were recovered from the sewage treatment plant, it was already too late. They were hurried to the hospital, where attending doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

The Arnala Police have filed a case under accidental death and launched an investigation to determine the precise cause of the tragic incident.
