In the league match of the inaugural Arun Sharma Memorial Senior Cricket Tournament, Mahajan Cricket Academy secured a convincing 178-run victory over Kurukshetra District.
The match took place at I.V.C.A Academy, where Mahajan Academy, batting first, posted a total of 318 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 40 overs. Siddharth Mehta contributed significantly with an impressive 115 runs, supported by Rehan Roy’s 77 runs and Piyush’s 53 runs. Bhanu and Manav from Kurukshetra Association took 2 wickets each, with Bhanu conceding 17 runs.
In response, the entire Kurukshetra Association team managed to score only 140 runs, losing 9 wickets in 35 overs. Bhanu top-scored with 62 runs, while only Viraj Singh, with 26 runs, provided some resistance. Harsh took 3 wickets for 34 runs, and Piyush took 2 wickets for 10 runs for the winning team. Siddharth Mehta was awarded the Man of the Match for his century.
In the second match, Lakshya Cricket Academy Kalka triumphed over J.K. Cricket Academy Baltana by 7 wickets. JK Academy, batting first, was restricted to a mere 89 runs in 22.5 overs, with Kamal scoring 23 runs.
Aditya and Ashish from Lakshya Academy took 3 wickets each, with Aditya conceding 5 runs and Ashish conceding 19 runs. In response, Lakshya Academy chased down the target by scoring 90 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 14.3 overs, thanks to Aman’s unbeaten 44 runs and Amit’s unbeaten 12 runs. Ashish Kumar’s outstanding bowling performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
