The Madras High court on Monday passed an order for a repostmortem of the schoolgirl who was found dead in a private school on July 13.

Justice N Sarishkumari instructed the Tamil Nadu government to formulate a special team to investigate the case and also identify and arrest those involved in the violence of July 17 who plundered the school.

The order is passed on the petition by the girl’s father. The repostpartum will be conducted by a team of doctors nominated by the court, and the entire process is advised to be filmed in the presence of the girl’s father along with a lawyer.

The parents of the girl were retrained from talking to the media about the incident, and they were directed to take the crops of the girl after the autopsy is done.

The judge of the Madras High Court expressed dismay over the mob’s decision to burn the certificates of the students and said, “Police were not under the control of anyone. They should enforce the law. This court will monitor the probe.”

He said that the violence appears to be an organised crime and that strict action must be taken against those involved.
