Madhavi Raje Scindia, the mother of Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi on Wednesday morning. Known for her philanthropic endeavors in education and healthcare, her mortal remains will be transported to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, for the final rites.
Madhavi Raje Scindia had been receiving medical treatment in a Delhi hospital for the past few months, and her condition had deteriorated significantly. Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is contesting for the BJP in the Guna parliamentary constituency, along with his wife Priyadarshini Raje and son Mahaaryaman Scindia, had to suspend their election campaign midway to be by her side.
During the election campaign in Guna-Ashoknagar and Shivpuri over the past month, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, his wife, and son were present. However, their focus shifted due to the fluctuating health condition of Madhavi Raje Scindia.
