Luv Sinha recently provided an update on his father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha’s health. Using X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Luv shared a tweet expressing gratitude to well-wishers for their concern and urged everyone not to “believe unverified news”.

Luv tweeted, “In regard to my father’s health I’d like to clarify that there was no surgical procedure, and one shouldn’t believe unverified news. We took my father to the hospital for his annual checkup, and because he had a strong fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned.”

Shatrughan was admitted to hospital
Last week, the veteran actor was admitted to a medical facility in Mumbai for his annual check-up. Earlier, Luv had mentioned that Shatrughan Sinha was hospitalized in a private hospital in Mumbai due to a “strong fever”. He also clarified that reports of the actor undergoing a minor surgery were untrue.
When Luv spoke on his dad’s health
“My father had a strong fever and we decided to take him to the hospital so that he could recover and we could have his yearly tests done as well. I have been going there (to the hospital) every day, so (I) can tell you that there was no surgical procedure,” Luv had said in a WhatsApp message to PTI.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who recently got married, were seen leaving the hospital on Friday. Shatrughan Sinha had been hospitalized shortly after Sonakshi’s wedding.
The Sinha family has had a bustling month. Actor Shatrughan Sinha secured a win from West Bengal’s Asansol constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the TMC banner. This was followed by the wedding of his daughter, actor Sonakshi Sinha, to her longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Shatrughan Sinha is renowned for his roles in 1970s and 1980s films such as Mere Apne, Kalicharan, Vishwanath, Kaala Patthar, and Dostana.
