Today marked a momentous occasion as Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the ‘JK Youth Conclave 2024’ while launching the second season of ‘Inspire GenZ’ and ‘Beats of J&K’ initiatives, orchestrated by the Department of Information and Public Relations, at the Convention Centre.
During his address, Lt Governor Sinha lauded the Department of Information and Public Relations for its endeavors in engaging and inspiring the new generation to foster personal growth.
He emphasized the significance of platforms like the ‘Youth Conclave’, noting their potential to motivate Gen Zers to shape J&K’s social, cultural, and economic landscape, thus catalyzing positive change across various sectors.
Congratulating the Young Achievers from J&K honored for their outstanding contributions across diverse fields, the Lt Governor remarked, “Youth power is the pillar for Viksit J&K and Viksit Bharat.”
Highlighting the pivotal role of the new generation in fostering innovation and steering future successes, Lt Governor Sinha stated, “Youth power is the driving force of progressive and prosperous India, creating new paths to realize the vision of Amrit Kaal.”
Reiterating the Administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized leveraging the demographic dividend, with 65% of J&K’s population being youth, as the region’s greatest strength.
During the event, Lt Governor Sinha advocated for the establishment of a Next Generation Coalition- JK program to foster a network of youth under the Mission Youth and Department of Information & Public Relations. Addressing the imperative of youth-led initiatives against drug abuse, Lt Governor Sinha underscored the role of youth in illuminating societal pathways, promising the Administration’s support in their endeavors to serve the community.
Amidst electrifying performances by artists from Beats of J&K and a captivating showcase of J&K’s filmmaking journey, Lt Governor Sinha interacted with attendees, including beneficiaries of various schemes, underscoring the Administration’s commitment to youth welfare.
Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt Governor; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Rehana Batul, Commissioner Secretary Information; Jatin Kishore, Director Information, along with senior officials, prominent personalities, renowned artists, young achievers, and a multitude of youth, graced the occasion.
