Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, AVSM, SM, has officially taken charge as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s esteemed White Knight Corps, succeeding Lt Gen Sandeep Jain, SM. The transition in leadership was announced by a defense spokesperson, highlighting Lt Gen Sachdeva’s rich experience and commitment to the security landscape.
In assuming his new role, Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva expressed deep gratitude, acknowledging the honor of leading an elite formation with a storied history in Jammu and Kashmir. He paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers, veterans, and the families of the past who have made significant contributions to the Corps.
During his address to the troops, Lt Gen Sachdeva urged all ranks to maintain unwavering zeal and enthusiasm in their duties. Emphasizing the need for constant combat readiness, he called on the forces to thwart the nefarious designs of adversaries and inimical forces. He stressed the importance of working in complete synergy with civil administration and paramilitary forces to ensure a unified and effective response to challenges.

He assured the people of the region that the Army remains dedicated to their upliftment in all spheres.
Official sources revealed that Lt Gen Sachdeva had previously visited the Pir Panjal region multiple times before assuming command of the White Knight Corps. This region witnessed multiple terror attacks in 2023, resulting in the loss of 19 soldiers in action and seven civilians in five major terror strikes. Jammu and Kashmir Police have identified the attackers as foreigners, collaborating with locals to carry out attacks in the region.
