With the first two phases of the election just concluded, the details of the 3rd phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are out.
For those unfamiliar, the first phase of the Lok Sabha election happened on April 19, which covered 102 constituencies. The second phase took place on April 26 covering 89 constituencies.
According to the Election Commission of India’s data, the first and second phases of the election recorded a voter turnout of 62 percent and 61 percent respectively.
As for the candidates, In the first phase of the election, the total number of candidates who contested was 1,625. While in the second phase, 1,198 candidates contested the election.

Total Candidates: As per the Election Commission, a total of 1,351 candidates will contest the third phase of the election.
Total Seats: The third phase of the election will cover 94 Lok Sabha seats covering 12 states and union territories going on polls.
