Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan exercised his voting right at a polling booth in Mangalagiri, participating in both the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
In Mangalagiri, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh is contesting, while Murugudu Lavanya represents the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party.
The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections covers 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory, commencing at 7:00 am on Monday. Simultaneously, polling began for all 175 seats of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly and 28 seats of the Odisha State Legislative Assembly.
Among the 96 Lok Sabha seats, Andhra Pradesh accounts for 25, Telangana 17, Uttar Pradesh 13, Maharashtra 11, with smaller numbers from other states. A total of 4,264 nominations were filed for these constituencies.
This phase sees significant contests in various constituencies with notable leaders like AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and others vying for success.
Key contenders include BJP leaders Arjun Munda and Madhavi Latha, as well as Andhra Pradesh Congress Chief YS Sharmila.
Till the end of phase 3, polling has concluded smoothly in 283 Lok Sabha seats, setting the stage for the ongoing election process.
