As part of his five-day State Visit to India, Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will speak with Prime Minister Narendra Modi one-on-one today, August 5, 2025.

During his earlier visit to Mr. Marcos Jr., External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar claimed that his discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will significantly deepen our bilateral partnership. The 75th anniversary of India-Philippines diplomatic ties is the date of President Marcos Jr.’s visit.

President Marcos Jr. would visit Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at Rajghat after the tour officially started with a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He is scheduled to travel to Bengaluru on August 7.
