As political tempers continue to flare, the Rajya Sabha gears up for a marathon 16-hour debate on Operation Sindoor today, July 29. The discussion follows the Lok Sabha’s charged session, where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh detailed India’s firm military retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 dead in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army, during the Lok Sabha debate, also announced Operation Mahadev, revealing the elimination of three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in a high-stakes gun battle, highlighting the intensifying cross-border tensions with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha has struggled to stay on track. On Day 6, the Upper House saw just five minutes of functioning amid opposition-led disruptions over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, leading to repeated adjournments.
With both Houses set to reconvene at 11 AM, all eyes are on whether today’s debate will offer clarity—or further confrontation—on India’s evolving national security posture.
