The highest voting was reported in Kishanganj (76.26%), followed by Katihar (75.23%), Purnia (73.79%), and Supaul (70.69%). Other districts that witnessed high participation included Purvi Champaran (69.02%), Banka (68.91%), and Nawada (57.11%).

Significant turnouts were also recorded in Araria (67.79%), Arwal (63.06%), Aurangabad (64.48%), and Bhagalpur (66.03%). Among key constituencies, Supaul registered 69.72%, Sasaram saw 60.97%, and Gaya Town recorded 58.43% polling.

This phase is crucial as it will determine the electoral fate of 12 ministers from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet. Prominent names include JD(U) leaders Vijendra Yadav from Supaul and Lesi Singh from Dhamdaha, along with BJP ministers Prem Kumar from Gaya and Renu Devi from Bettiah.

The first phase had already set a record with 65.08% voter turnout — the highest ever in Bihar’s electoral history. The counting of votes will take place on November 14.
