Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has kicked off the shooting for the much-anticipated sequel, Raid 2. Known for his portrayal of fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the original Raid (2018), Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his role in the upcoming film. The announcement of the commencement of shooting was made by renowned Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Instagram.

Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is scheduled for release on November 15, 2024. The film’s production is a collaborative effort involving Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. The shooting locations for the sequel include Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Sharing the title poster of Raid 2, Taran Adarsh wrote, “Ajay Devgn: Raid 2 stars today… 15 November 2024 release… IRS Officer Amay Patnaik is back… Ajay Devgn reunites with director Raj Kumar Gupta for Raid 2, the sequel to Raid [2018]. The film commences shoot in Mumbai today and will be extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, UP and Rajasthan.”

In the original Raid, Ajay Devgn shared the screen with Ileana D’Cruz, Gayathiri Iyer, and Saurabh Shukla. Raid 2 is not the only sequel on Ajay Devgn’s plate, as the third installment of the Singham franchise is also set to hit theaters this year. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again boasts a star-studded cast, including Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone.

Ajay Devgn, a versatile actor, is also lined up for other projects in 2024, such as Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Shaitaan, promising audiences a diverse cinematic experience throughout the year.
