Shah Rukh Khan ‘Much Better,’ Set to Support KKR in IPL Finals: Juhi Chawla

Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan is on the mend after being hospitalized for a heat stroke. His longtime co-star and fellow KKR co-owner, Juhi Chawla, reassured fans that Shah Rukh is feeling much better and is expected to support their team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) finals on Sunday.

In an interview with News18, Juhi said, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night, but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up, and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals.”

Doctors admitted Shah Rukh to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday after he suffered from dehydration and a heat stroke. He had traveled to Ahmedabad to watch the IPL match between KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. Juhi Chawla and her husband, Jay Mehta, visited him at the hospital, along with Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan, who appeared concerned.

According to the Ahmedabad (Rural) Superintendent, the actor was hospitalized following the heat stroke. Shah Rukh attended the match with his daughter Suhana Khan, younger son AbRam, and manager Pooja Dadlani. Juhi Chawla, Jay Mehta, and Suhana’s close friends, including Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Navya Nanda, and Agastya Nanda, were also present at the stadium, cheering for KKR.

After the match, Shah Rukh, Suhana, and AbRam greeted spectators with a lap around the Narendra Modi Stadium. The “Jawan” star delighted fans with his signature pose.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan last appeared in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki.” He plans to begin shooting for his upcoming film “King” in July. Juhi Chawla, who has starred in over a dozen films with Shah Rukh, including “Yes Boss,” “Darr,” and “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani,” last appeared in “The Railway Men.” She has also co-produced films like “Asoka” and “Chalte Chalte” with Shah Rukh.

Fans eagerly await Shah Rukh’s recovery and his return to the stands to cheer for KKR in the IPL finals.
