Kantara was one of the most successful films in 2022. Now, a report in Times of India revealed that the film will be screened at the United Nations, Geneva, Switzerland on March 17th. Kantara will be screened at Pathe Balexert. Reportedly, Rishabh Shetty has reached Geneva for the screening.
The makers of the film have decided to make a prequel for the film. Earlier, in an interview with Deadline, producer Vijay Kiragandur revealed that the second part of the film will be a prequel. He told Deadline, “Rishabh is planning to start shooting in June, as a portion of the shoot requires the rainy season. And we intend to give the film a pan-India release in April or May this year.”
Earlier, the Vikram star Kamaal Haasan penned a letter for Rishabh Shetty in which he appreciated Kantara calling it a ‘classic’. Sharing the same on his Instagram, Rishabh Shetty thanked the superstar for his sweet gesture. In the caption of his post, he wrote, “It means a lot to receive such a lovely message from Legend of Indian Cinema. Too overwhelmed and awestruck to see this surprise gift from Kamal sir. Thanks a ton for his precious gift sir [Kamal Hassan] [Kantara Film] [Hombale Films].”
