Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree 2 release date out

Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree 2 has got a release date now. Ayushmann Khurrana’s younger brother Aparshakti Khurana is also returning in the film. Amar Kaushik’s directorial was one of the super successful films of 2018. At Jio Studios’s Infinite Together event, the producer of the film Dinesh Vijan took the stage to announce that the film is coming on screens next year. The film brings back the star cast of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee. Stree is ready to release on August 31, 2024.

Interestingly, Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya 2 was also announced at the event.
Varun and Kriti’s Bhediya received a positive response at the box office. In the first part of the film, Kriti’s character died in the end, but her presence at the event makes us wonder if she would be a part of the sequel.

Dinesh Vijan also revealed that Maddock Films is working on a vampire-themed film as part of the horror-comedy universe. Adding more details, the plot of Stree is based on the urban legend Nale Ba of Karnataka. The film is based on the Indian folk legend about a witch who abducts men at night when they are alone and only leaves their clothes behind.
