Radhika Merchant Dazzles in Mom’s Jewelry and ‘Durga Shloka’ Lehenga at Mameru Ceremony

Radhika Merchant began her wedding celebrations at Antilia with the traditional Gujarati mameru ceremony. She looked stunning in a custom-made Manish Malhotra lehenga, which featured special ‘Durga-shloka’ embroidery on the borders.

Designer Manish Malhotra shared photos of Radhika’s outfit on social media. The lehenga was vibrant and colorful, made from a special pink fabric with gold embroidery. It used 35 meters of fabric, and the blouse had a vintage style. The outfit was a beautiful mix of traditional and modern elements.

Radhika added a personal touch by wearing her mother Shaila Merchant’s jewellery. This jewellery was the same that Shaila wore at her own mameru, making it even more special. Stylist Rhea Kapoor also shared pictures, highlighting how beautiful Radhika looked and the significance of the jewellery.

The mameru ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual in Gujarati culture where the bride’s maternal uncle or her aunt’s husband gives her gifts. This event marked the start of the wedding celebrations for Radhika and Anant Ambani. The couple will get married on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.

Before the mameru, the Ambani family showed their commitment to helping others by hosting a mass wedding for 50 underprivileged couples at Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai. This act of kindness was a beautiful way to begin the wedding festivities.

Radhika and Anant’s wedding celebrations have already included two grand events. The first one was hosted in Jamnagar, and the second one was a luxurious four-day cruise across Europe.
