Ellen DeGeneres Set To Give A Comeback On Netflix

Ellen DeGeneres is making a comeback with a final stand-up special on Netflix, marking her return to comedy after stepping away from The Ellen DeGeneres Show amid workplace toxicity allegations.

Set to air later in 2024, this Netflix special will be Ellen’s first comedy hour since ‘Relatable’ six years ago, and her second collaboration with the streaming platform. Addressing the elephant in the room, Ellen assures her audience that she will tackle all topics, including her departure from her talk show and the controversies surrounding it.

The comedian, known for her candid humour, acknowledges the recent controversies surrounding her show, where former colleagues accused her of fostering a toxic workplace environment and mistreating employees. Ellen closed the chapter on her long-running show amidst the turmoil and took responsibility for the workplace culture, expressing regret and issuing apologies to those affected. As a result of internal investigations, three executives were dismissed. The upcoming Netflix special will be produced by Ben Winston and Fulwell73. Alongside this special, Ellen is also gearing up for a multi-city stand-up tour starting in June 2024 in San Diego.
