Coachella 2025: What You Can and Can’t Bring to the Festival

Coachella 2025 is almost here, and thousands of music lovers are preparing for two weekends filled with music, art, and fun in the desert. To enjoy the festival without any problems, it’s important to follow the rules about what you can and cannot bring.

What You Can Bring

Coachella allows several items to help you stay comfortable and meet your basic needs during the festival. You can bring empty reusable water bottles and hydration packs, as long as they’re empty when you arrive. The venue provides water refill stations, so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.

Small bags, fanny packs, and single-compartment backpacks are allowed, but they must be no larger than 18″ x 13″ x 8″. You can also bring blankets and towels to relax on the grass. To protect yourself from the sun, non-aerosol sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are not only allowed they’re recommended.

Electronics and Cameras

You can keep your phone and portable charger with you to stay connected. Coachella also allows non-professional cameras, as long as they don’t have detachable lenses. This makes it easy for fans to capture and share their favorite festival moments.

Items You Must Leave at Home

Coachella has a strict list of items that are not allowed. Large bags, multi-compartment backpacks, and suitcases are banned. You also can’t bring any outside food or drinks, unless you have a medical need with proper documentation. This rule includes alcohol and even sealed water bottles.

Strict Safety Measures

To make sure everyone stays safe, Coachella does not allow illegal substances or drug-related items. Weapons like firearms and knives are completely banned, as are fireworks and any other explosives. Laser pointers are also not allowed because they can distract performers and other festivalgoers.

Additional Prohibited Items

There are a few other things to avoid packing. Aerosol products, such as spray sunscreen or bug repellent, are not allowed. Chairs, tents, and flags or banners on poles are also banned. You cannot bring professional audio or video equipment unless you have special permission from the organizers.

Plan Ahead for a Smooth Experience

If you’re attending Coachella this year, take a few minutes to review the rules. Knowing what’s allowed will save you time at the entrance and help you enjoy the festival without any stress. By following the guidelines, you can focus on what really matters—great music, art, and unforgettable memories.
