In a significant development towards holistic development, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Mahal Shah Panchayat, Samba, today, emphasizing the pivotal role of participatory governance in reducing disparities and transforming the fate of villages and localities.

During the event, Lt Governor Sinha laid the foundation stone for a 50-bedded Ayush integrated hospital at Ghagwal, which will provide Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathic healthcare facilities to the people in the region.

Addressing a gathered audience, the Lt Governor highlighted the enthusiasm across all sections of society for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, viewing it as a symbol of Aspirational Jammu Kashmir with faith in the government’s responsiveness to address challenges.

“The common man is at the forefront of this collective effort, aiming for 100% saturation in every flagship scheme and paving new paths for Viksit Bharat. Participatory governance can bridge disparities and alter the fate of every village and locality,” remarked the Lt Governor.

He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Union Territory Administration, elected representatives, and the public over the last four years, leading to improvements in education, healthcare, cleanliness, road infrastructure, and communication connectivity in rural areas, contributing to economic development and narrowing the rural-urban gap.
Underlining the commitment to inclusive development, Lt Governor Sinha affirmed, “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are committed to safeguarding the rights of the weaker section of society and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every household.”

Emphasizing the significance of achieving 100% saturation in all schemes, fulfilling the basic needs of every family, and enhancing the standard of living for citizens, the Lt Governor stressed that these efforts would unlock the inherent potential of society, boost productivity, and stimulate employment generation and prosperity.
During the event, Lt Governor Sinha interacted with beneficiaries of flagship schemes, visited government department stalls, handed over sanction letters to beneficiaries, and felicitated women achievers and PRI members for their contributions to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan Mission. The Lt Governor administered the ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge to the people.
