Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today flagged off the Road Safety Awareness Tour “Mission Save Lives J&K Tour 2024” from Raj Bhawan, marking a significant initiative aimed at bolstering road safety measures across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acknowledging the commendable efforts of the Kashmir Road Safety Foundation in fostering awareness, educating communities, and implementing initiatives to enhance road safety, Lt Governor Sinha lauded the foundation’s commitment to safeguarding lives on the region’s roads.

The “Mission Save Lives J&K Tour 2024” is slated to traverse all districts of Jammu and Kashmir, disseminating crucial awareness regarding the paramount importance of road safety and its alignment with Sustainable Development Goals.
Accompanying Lt Governor Sinha at the event were Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor; Sh Nasir Ali Khan, Chairman of the Kashmir Road Safety Foundation, along with senior officials and concerned stakeholders. The launch of this road safety awareness tour underscores the collective determination of the administration and civil society organizations to foster a culture of responsible driving, pedestrian safety, and overall adherence to traffic regulations, ultimately striving to curtail road accidents and save lives in Jammu and Kashmir.
