Central Minister of Water Resources, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said on Sunday at the Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha that the people of Rajasthan have taken a resolution for change, and the journeys that started from all four corners have been successful. He criticized the Rajasthan government, calling the BJP incompetent, anti-farmer, anti-women, anti-youth, anti-OBC, anti-Dalit, and anti-tribal. He also stated that the Congress government in Rajasthan is corrupt. He said, “False promises are being made to save the government. A promise to provide free electricity was made, but today, farmers are suffering from crop damage due to the lack of electricity.”
Shekhawat mentioned that the Rajasthan government had announced the distribution of Annapurna kits, but a scam of one thousand crores was carried out in its purchase. He asserted that the video of adulterated chilli is visible to everyone and when an investigation of the kit was carried out in Jaisalmer, it was found that chilli, coriander, turmeric, and salt were adulterated. He claimed, “No action was taken against those involved in adulteration. He accused the government of playing with public health.”
While addressing the Mahasabha, opposition leader Rajendra Rathore described the past nine years as a period of transformation for the country. He said, “Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India has become the world’s fifth-largest economy by surpassing Britain. Today, Modi is considered the most powerful leader in the world. The Parivartan Sankalp Yatra has received public support across the state.”
Rathore accused the state government of going back on its promise of waiving farmers’ debts. He said that this government is afraid of the Red Diary. “When Congress leaders go to villages, they are shown the Red Diary, and they run away. There are many secrets hidden in this diary,” he added.
He criticized the law and order situation and said that the government is stained with the blot of the deteriorating law and order. Rathore said, “In the past three years, Rajasthan has reached the top in crimes against women. The Assembly speaks of Rajasthan being a state for men. Incidents like Nirbhaya are happening daily in Rajasthan.”
